Youth Environmental Ambassador Programme 2024

Youth Environment Ambassador programmeThis programme aims to foster the next generation of kaitiaki, environmental guardians. Students from Hawke’s Bay Secondary Schools are invited to apply annually to become youth ambassadors.

Our youth ambassadors will meet regularly throughout the year and be involved in local conservation efforts. They will promote environmental action within their schools and will also connect with youth councils in the Hawke’s Bay region supporting their environmental goals.

The programme gives young people the opportunity to represent youth in a range of experiences including connecting with local environmental groups and youth councils around the region, presenting a youth voice on environmental topics and attending the annual Festival for the Future in Wellington.
