Connected to Nature Teacher Workshops 2019

Today more than ever we are being reminded about how human actions impact on our environment. In 2019 Cape to City in conjunction with Hawke’s Bay Regional Council and Enviroschools are joining forces to bring you four taster workshops.

The first three will connect you directly with nature and be hands on. You will come away with new skills and a boost to your professional development goals. Curriculum links and teaching tools will also be provided. The fourth workshop will be an opportunity to meet the expert providers in our region.

Thursday 12 September – Bush – Some Enchanted Evening
Dolbel Reserve, Taradale
Right on our doorstep come along for an enchanting walk through the reserve and experience the bush up close and personal. Explore hands-on contexts to inspire your next Inquiry.

Thursday 7 November – Who’s in my backyard
Envirohub, EIT, tbc
Get to know some of our region’s most passionate environmental experts as they share their knowledge and showcase what they can offer to enhance learning programmes across all levels. These are your local “go-to” people, so come along and let them inspire your planning for another year of learning and teaching in the outdoors!

All workshops will commence at 3.45 pm with afternoon tea. Finish time approximately 5.45 pm. To register your interest complete the form below, or if you have any queries please email Sally Chandler
