Cruisin' with Chrissy - Driver Licensing Resource

My name is Chris Leppien. I am a qualified driving instructor and am a Senior Constable in the New Zealand Police. I have been doing mentor driving in my community for a number of years and I have helped many people who have struggled to understand what is required to pass their practical driving test. I have developed a number of stories, sayings and techniques which make it easier to understand and retain what is required for issues I have seen. I have made these into tip sheets and recordings which I know will help develop your driving skills in these areas.

In this resource you will find:

  1. HBRC Roadsafe driving tips websiteRecordings that show good driving techniques which will help you meet the standard required to pass your practical driving test.
  2. Tip sheets which go with each of the recordings. These can be used as prompts when teaching and a marking sheet to assess the driving capability of the student. Each skill must be able to be repeated unprompted, until they become a habit, to meet the required standard for the practical New Zealand driving test.
