Things to know:

  • Monthly payment amounts in the calculator do not reflect any credit or debit balances carried forward from previous rating year(s). These will alter the monthly repayment amount.

  • Monthly deductions will be made on the 20th of each month, even if this falls on a weekend or public holiday.

  • Clean Heat or Sustainable Homes - this direct debit calculator does not include or replace any direct debits for financial assistance.

  • An option for a single direct debit payment on the due date is also available. These will occur on 20 September each year, which is the new due date for paying your rates.

  • This calculator should not be used to set up your own payment plan by internet banking or automatic payment through your bank, as any private payment arrangements must clear the balance by 20 September each year, to avoid a penalty on the outstanding balance. With a Direct Debit lodged through  the regional council, you will receive non-penalty status, provided all payments are honoured on the 20th of each month.

  • This amount has been calculated to clear rates by 20 September. If you start payments partway through the year, your deductions will initially be higher in order to clear rates by the due date. From 20 October payments will be recalculated across a full 12 month period and the new payment amount will be notified on your invoice.
