At Hawke’s Bay Regional Council our purpose is to work with our community to protect and manage the region’s precious taonga of rivers, lakes, soils, air, coast and biodiversity for health, wellbeing and connectivity. Our organisation is diverse and our work is varied. Our structure comprises of six key business units; Corporate Services, Integrated Catchment Management, Asset Management, Māori Partnerships, Policy & Regulation, and the Executive Advisory Group which also consists of the Civil Defence and Emergency Management.

About the Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Application Analyst to join the ICT Business Solutions team. This team looks after key business applications that are used across the council, such as Sharepoint, IRIS, Technology One, IRIS, Workflow Automation, Dynamics CRM, as well as investigating and implementing new solutions for all business units across council. 

This is a permanent full-time role for 40 hours per week. As a Business Application Analyst you will engage with the business to deliver first class customer support for some of our key applications, being the first point of contact for the business where you are a subject matter expert, to provide ongoing enhancements and to understand how we can maximise opportunities for continuous improvement related to key applications and associated business processes.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Proven experience managing and resolving end user requests and issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Outstanding time management and task prioritisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build and nurture trusting relationships with numerous stakeholder groups
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, an innovative growth mind-set and the ability to think ‘outside the box’
  • Strong business analysis experience
  • A champion of continuous improvement and change management
  • A passion for people, process and solutions!

The salary range for this role will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
