Finance Lead

About The opportunity | Ko te āheinga:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Lead to join the Finance team and provide professional direction and leadership for our accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking areas of the business. This role will work to actively lead a passionate team while providing exceptional customer service to our internal stakeholders. You will need have a solid foundation of accounting skill and a willingness to pitch in where needed to support the team to achieve its objectives.

The ‘fit’ in the Finance team is important. You will be an engaged and energetic person, bringing with you leadership experience and excellent communication skills. You will hold a relevant qualification and have accounting experience. Knowledge of Local Government/Policy would be beneficial in this role.

General role requirements:

  • Accounting and systems experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other database and information management systems.
  • Experience in working with financial reporting systems and requirements. 

 You'll need a 'can do' attitude and be able to hit the ground running, along with:

  • Leadership experience
  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative approach to achieving outcomes.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced and changeable environment.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organise and co-ordinate work to ensure that goals are achieved with the highest quality of work possible within agreed timeframes.
  • An excellent standard of written and verbal communication that enables you to effectively convey technical information to end users.

The salary range for this role will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
