About The opportunity | Ko te āheinga:

We are looking for a Catchment Operations Analyst to join the Operations Support team. This team works closely with the broader Catchment Operations section who oversee and coordinate Council’s catchment management, biosecurity, and biodiversity functions.

In this role you will be a crucial driver of continuous improvement initiatives. You will use your proven skills, knowledge and experience in both change and project management to liaise with teams within the section and across the organisation to ensure well designed system and process solutions are implemented appropriately. 

This role is critical within the Catchment Operations section as it will be key in supporting the effective and efficient delivery of the section’s objectives. 

 

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

You will have an eye for recognising opportunities for improvement as well as a knack for communicating those to ensure contributing parties can take the appropriate steps to implement any required solutions. It is essential that you have a strong understanding of the current tools that exist to support efficient operations and/or can use your initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity to find new ones.

We are looking for someone who is a team player but who can also work autonomously when required. You will thrive off getting to know your team and the work they are doing, having an inquisitive approach will be an advantage in this role.

Ideally you will also have:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree, equivalent qualification, or relevant work experience (3+ years).
  • A sound understanding of current operational tools and solutions for farming systems and rural issues.
  • A proven ability to manage people and behaviour change when new tools, processes and systems are introduced. 
  • Resilience, adaptability, and flexibility to keep up with the ever-changing nature of HBRC, and
  • A valid driver’s license.

 

What we offer | Nga huanga mōu:

The salary range for this role is between $89,640 to $99,600 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
