Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has a new role for an HR Advisor to support our HR Manager, but taking a particular focus on training and organisational development. This is a great opportunity to gain a broad range of experience in a medium sized council.
While providing general HR advice to our internal customers and assisting with recruitment processes, you will also take the lead responsibility for developing a Council wide training programme with a range of topics and requirements and play a supporting role in Health and Safety management in the Council.
You will need a tertiary qualification in a relevant HR, organisational development or training development discipline and have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience. You will also need a sound understanding of HR policy development and be well versed in current employment legislation.
An ability to work effectively with a variety of people, situations and time lines will be a requirement, as will a good sense of humour, high-level integrity and an ability to show genuine empathy.
