Hawke's Bay Regional Council (HBRC) is the regional authority for the Hawke's Bay region in New Zealand with key roles in environmental management and education; flood control, drainage, pollution, waste, land, water and coastal management. About the opportunity:

The Corporate Support Team are looking for a Corporate Operations Coordinator to provide partial cover for the Corporate Operations Manager while they focus on some significant corporate projects for the next two years. The role will support the business by ensuring functionality of facilities, fleet and radio communications. Responsibilities will include assisting with the management of Regional Council’s $21.5M property and fleet portfolio and ensuring operational budgets are monitored and used effectively. You work closely with the Corporate Operations Assistant and contractors, ensuring building maintenance, alterations and upgrades are carried out and monitored regularly.

The salary range for this role is $63,360 - $71,808 depending on relevant experience.

About you:

Our ideal candidate is solutions focussed and has a high level of judgement and initiative. Familiarity with EROAD fleet management software, Radio Telephone (RT) and contract management is desirable. You will be able to respond effectively and work well under pressure.

Skills and experience;

• Knowledge of Radio Telephone and network operation is advantageous.
• Successful Contract Management experience.
• Knowledge of facilities and fleet management.
• High level of Microsoft office and computer skills.
• A clean full driver’s licence. 
• Strong coordination and time management skills.
• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
