The Hawke’s Bay Emergency Management Group is a cooperative of all of the councils in Hawke’s Bay. Our role is to jointly deliver civil defence emergency management across the region. The Group office is staffed by a small group of multidisciplinary emergency management professionals, who each have specialist areas of work. We work across the four goals of comprehensive emergency management being reduction, readiness, response and recovery.
We are looking for a positive minded person to join our team of emergency management advisors delivering and coordinating our operational capability. The key focus of the team is working with our partner councils to ensure we have the capability to respond to any events that occur anywhere in our region.
Ideally you will be suitably qualified and have relevant experience to perform all the requirements of the role. Sound knowledge of civil defence emergency management would be an advantage. You will need to be calm in a crisis and have the ability to deliver to expectations.
Applications close at 4 pm on Monday 1 April 2019
